Clicker is a writing support and multimedia tool for children of all abilities.
At the top of the screen is a word processor called ‘Clicker Writer’.
At the bottom of the screen is the ‘Clicker Grid’.
This has ‘cells’ containing letters, words or phrases that you can click on, to send them into Clicker Writer – so children can write sentences without actually writing or using the keyboard!
Develop reading and writing skills
Clicker will help your child to write, whether building sentences with whole words or using the keyboard. Your child can read on-screen talking books and make talking books, too!
Speech support for reading and writing
With its in-built speech, Clicker helps your child to read and write, no matter what his or her ability. Listening to words as they are read out and highlighted helps your child to work independently. Your child can also listen to text and repeat activities as many times as he or she likes to reinforce learning.
Build confidence
Clicker empowers your child to work independently. Reluctant readers are more motivated; struggling spellers get a literacy boost; and it's fully accessible for those with special access needs. It allows your child to achieve success where he or she might not have felt it before, which really helps self-esteem.
Ideal for any language
Those learning English will find Clicker an invaluable aid, plus those learning another language will benefit too, thanks to Clicker's foreign language speech voices (available separately). Clicker's sound-recording facility enables your child to practise speaking in any language.
Personalise your child's learning
Create talking books of your own using your own photos! Your child can easily add sound effects and record his or her own voice.
