For School and Home

TI-Nspire Student Software for homework and the TI-Nspire handheld for class work. They share the same functionality. Take assignments you’ve started in class on your handheld and finish them at home on your computer (PC or Mac®).

Explore mathematics and science concepts through dynamic documents that include calculations, spreadsheets, graphs, geometry, statistics and interactive notes. Record your learning in a document, save it on your computer or handheld, print it or email it to your teacher.

  • Calculator:  Enter, view and edit expressions, algebraic equations and formulas directly, through menus or an easy to use template.
  • Graphing:  Enter functions in the traditional manner or click and drag for transformations; interactive and dynamic graphing is intuitive.
  • Spreadsheet: Use traditional cell references, or populate lists using formulas. Display data on the graphing page or interactive statistics.
  • Geometry: Explore geometry dynamically. Collect data from geometric objects directly to the spreadsheet or use measurements on the calculator.
  • Statistics: Manipulate data and watch the statistics respond. Can you change a data point without changing the mean? What about the median?
  • Interactive Notes: Make a record of your learning or explore mathematical relationships and watch the notes update to reflect computational changes.

Volume licenses

With this type of license, a single license is used to activate the TI computer software on multiple computers. The software must be both installed and activated on each computer.

Concurrent licenses

This type of license allows you to install the TI software client application on every computer in an organization, but only a fixed number of users can use the software at the same time. License management software (Windows® only) distributes licenses on a checkout basis as they are requested by users.

Software tells a computer what to do and how to do it.  From the ubiquitous Microsoft Office to iphone apps, software permeates every aspect of our business, education and home lives. Software was used to design the computer you are using, manufacture it, and process its sale. Software is running your computer right now. Any program you have open now, your operating system and antivirus is software. Software was used to design and deliver this website and enables you to navigate your way around it. It enables you to search for products you are interested in, contact us with questions, place orders and make payments. 

Educational software is used by teachers for teaching and students for learning. Many companies produce software for different subject areas. Examples of maths software include Mathematica by Wolfram and TI Nspire by Texas Instruments, literature software includes Easiteach by RM, science software includes Yenka by Crocodile Clips and languages software includes The Language Market. Perhaps one of the largest impacts in education has been made by Adobe Software with the release of its design software.

Business software is used to some extent by every employee who comes in contact with a computer. Software is used to run your computer, to protect your computer and to network your computer. Business software includes that used by an individual as well as software used to manage the operations of a firm.  In terms of an individual workspace, Windows 7 is an operating system, Microsoft Office is an office suite, Symantec is an anti-virus – all of these are software.  Company-wide software that an employee may come in contact with includes accounting software, customer relationship software (CRM), enterprise resource planning software (ERP) and human resources software. Home software is software used in the home. The most well known software package used in the home is Microsoft Office Home & Student 2010. Software is also used extensively in the home for entertainment whether that be for gaming or on portable entertainment devices such as ipads.  Some of the most well known software used in the home is used by students and includes Inspiration, Adobe Student and Teacher Editions and Photoshop, Autograph by Eastmond Publishing and Fathom by Key Curriculum Press.
